  2. HPI Racing RS4 MT – kit #501 – 1/10 electric Monster Truck (1997)

    The HPI RS4 MT was the first “truck” version of the HPI RS4 RC car series. It was first released in 1997 in both electric and nitro version. The HPI RS4 MT was a powerful 4WD racing truck. The “MT” stood for Monster Truck, however it’s more of a racing truck by today’s standards. It came with a VW Baja Bug body (pictured here), Ford F150 body or a red Dodge Ram body. It is still considered a great off-road racing truck by today’s standards and also a great model to have in your collection.

    Tamiya model #58029 – The Tamiya Blazing Blazer 4×4 is the second model from in the famous “three-speed series” from Tamiya, it was an unusual vehicle, modeled after an off-road racing truck. The vintage Tamiya Blazing Blazer 4×4 is one of the most sought after and memorable models by collectors along with the Tamiya Hilux, Mountaineer and Bruiser that were also part of series ‘3-speed Bruisers” from Tamiya.

  4. Kyosho (Robbe) 4×4 Ford Ranger

    Kyosho made two versions of this 4×4 ‘Bruiser’ type of offroad car in the early eighties (1982/1983). One version was an electrical type with the body of a Chevrolet 4×4 pick-up which had Kyosho item #3008. This electrical version was also available as 4WD Jeep Indiana. The other version had a nitro engine and was available with a 4WD Datsun or a Ford Ranger body. The nitoengine version of the Ford Ranger 4×4 is featured in this article. In Europe these models were sold by Robbe under their own name. Both, the nitro and electrical models, are chain driven 4WD.

  5. Tamiya Lancia 037 Rally – TA03R-S chassis – Limited Edition – Item # 58278

    This article is about the model #58278 from Tamiya, the Lancia 037 Rally released in 2001.
    Tamiya released this car as a limited edition due to the Limited Edition ABS body.

    Tamiya used the TA03RS chassis for this model, R being rear or mid motor, S being the short wheelbase variant. The chassis is high-grade and sophisticated. The bodyshell is very detailed and is quite similar to the first Lancia Rally (#58040) but is not quite the same as the wheelarches are smaller, body mounts are re-located and the glass is different on this re-release of the Lancia 037 body. The here used re-release body has a much better likeness to the real car. (more…)

    Featured here is the extreme rare ‘Milka edition’ of the Tamiya Volkswagen New Beetle on the front wheel driven FF01 Chassis, the Tamiya item number is 58217.
    This car originates from 1998. The Tamiya New Beetle with the FF01 chassis is already a rare find nowadays, but this special ‘Milka Edition’ makes it even more desirable, because only 10 cars in this Milka edition were made, ever! (more…)

  10. Kyosho Super Alta VW Beetle 1/12th scale

    This is the Kyosho Super Alta VW Beetle, Kit no. 3056 from the early ’80’s.

    The Super Alta chassis is an 1/12th scale electro 2-WD chassis with a 540-size motor which was placed in front of the rear axle. Direct drive with gear-differential in the right rear wheel. At the front it has indepent suspention on both wheels and the rear is a sort of ‘fixed power pod’ which is ‘fixed’ in the chassis and has a rubber plate on the bottom which allows a little movement.     Rare and vintage Kyosho Kit No.4253 – 1/10 scale Kyosho Lamborghini Diablo VT – Scale Car Series Kit.
    4 wheel drive, detailed interior. Awesome car!

    The real, full-size Lamborghini Diablo was produced between 1990 and 2001. During this period, Lamborghini introduced several variations of the Diablo concept among which the Diablo VT (Visco Traction), which featured an all-wheel drive.
